Lizard Island Resort is on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef and offers total seclusion and privacy in a stunning location. The Resort has 40 rooms, suites and villas and an array of private beaches. The brief to Sophie Hart Studio was to deliver spaces that felt modern, welcoming and suited to the environment. In phase one the Studio was commissioned with upgrading Lizard Island Resort’s premium offerings the Pavilion and Villa. Creating a more natural, classic look with nods to Far North Queensland tropical living, the interiors showcase Australian designed furniture and Indigenous artists. The distinctive design vision resulted in a refresh that feels organic and relaxed, yet chic and spoiling too - contemporary luxury at its best. The remainder of the Resort upgrade is set to roll out over the next few years.
